The 3rd World Meeting on Terraced Landscapes organized in Italy in October 2016 will be hosted by Veneto, which was chosen through a national selection.

The agenda of the event foresees that the participants will be greeted in Venice for 2 days. Then they will spread in groups to visit terraced areas all through Italy, from Ligury to Lombardy, from Tuscany to Sicily, from Trentino to Campania, where they will take part in workshops with the farmers and inhabitants.

Finally all participants wil gather in Padua, to discuss about their impressions and about the terraces as "landscape of the future", which is the key topic of the World Meeting. All in all, 10 days to discover the italian terraced areas - and also to enjoy this country.

Veneto proposed the candidacy highlighting its terraced areas renowned for agro-food productions (wines like Prosecco, or Amarone). It also stressed the innovative exepriences of recovery and promotion of abandoned areas ongoing in its territory.
