Dear experts and friends of terraced landscapes,

please find attached the Newsletter # 4 of ITLA with the latest news about the International Terraced Landscapes Alliance and also receive the registration form to join the Alliance, to provide further information about your experiences and contributions to ITLA and how you want to prepare for the World Conference 2013 in Peru.
Please register for the International Alliance for Terraced Landscapes - ITLA - to be able to receive information about the activities of its members and be involved in the preparations of the World Conference on Terraced Landscapes which ITLA is organising in autumn 2013 in the Colca Valley in Peru, South America. This registration is required also for the members who signed the declaration and work plan in Nov 2010 in Mengzi, but is especially an invitation to all terraced landscape lovers from all mountain regions in this world. This does not involve any financial commitment, but helps us to increase the number of people involved in the preparations of the next World Conference in Peru and to identify potential active members to develop the inventory and case studies in their respective countries or study region.

Please send your forms back to me. The declaration was signed by more than 50 members from 18 countries in Mengzi, Yunnan Province in November 2010. If you have suggestions, please include them in your registration form and also in your answer to this
invitation. Also send this newsletter and the form to your colleagues and friends, who may want to join the World Conference in 2013. This would allow us, if those terrace researchers and activists will join, that we can cover more regions and mountain areas woldwide in the Alliance. Share this with people you know and will enrich with their experiences and knowledge our task to establish a worldwide inventory of terraced landscapes and cultures.
