Project activities

This is the agenda of the activities of Project ALPTER for the years 2005-2007, as defined in accord by all the partners and updated regularly. Following the links is possible to see the first achieved results in the related pages.

January 2005:
 Definition of a common protocol of analysis, with the Data-sheet for survey of terracements

April - October 2005-2007:
 Study and monitoring of 8 pilot areas with production of database and cartography, technological studies and plans
 Network activities, contact with local and international subjects
 Project meetings in May (Bregaglia, CH) and October (Sondrio,IT)

January 2006:
 1st International workshop of the project in Genova, with a forum for the institutions in the project network

April 2006:
 Start of the works of recovery and agricultural implantation in abandoned areas selected through the Alps
 Project meetings in May (Upper Austria, AU) and October (Goriska Brda, SLO)

Present time: Check the status of the project.

January 2007:
 2nd International workshop of the project, with a forum for the institutions in the project network

April 2007:
 Conclusion of the sessions of scientifical and applied research
 Project meetings in May (Alpes Maritimes, FRA) and October (Valle d’Aosta, IT)

October 2007:
 Publication of the final project results, in two books: the Atlas of terraced landscapes and the Handbook for recovery
 Final scientific international conference in Venice, supported by UNESCO, for presentation of the project output and the results of the works
