15.12.2011,
Dear friends, colleagues, capacity builders,
in 2012 we are offering 2 training courses on VIPP (Visualisation in Participatory Programmes) in St. Ulrich near Freiburg, SW-Germany.
The first one (VIPP TOF) runs from June 4 to 8, 2012 and is directed to facilitators and trainers who want to learn VIPP facilitation and practice and improve their presentation, visualisation and facilitation skills. We have created this workshop because we received several requests from development workers when we would offer a training course to learn VIPP.
The second one is a VIPP Training of Trainers and Global Action Workshop from 8 to 12 of October 2012 as an offer for experienced trainers and facilitators to develop their training project, to try out new methods and tools, to discuss with fellow facilitators and trainers and to join the global community of VIPP Trainers. We will discuss jointly about the Global Secretariat of VIPP to be established in the coming years during the VIPP Summit of facilitators and trainers. It will be also a forum to discuss about the aim of democratising development (society), contributing to selfdetermination of local communities and supporting safe spaces to voice the people’s concerns. It will be
actually a VIPP Pre-Summit encounter of the VIPP Community to look for ways how to support the involvement of civil society in development and policy making. This workshop will be held by Maruja
Salas, Neill McKee and Timmi Tillmann as members of the VIPP Core Group.
Herewith I attach in the name of the VIPP Core Group the announcement for the June TOF in St. Ulrich, as well as the registration form. Deadline for registration is April 15, 2012. If you are interested to join the Advanced Level TOT and Global Action Workshop in October, please write to me and voice your interest. There will be an Asian VIPP Training of Trainers - advanced level - in March 12 - 16, 2012 in Malaysia. The Latin American VIPP Training is on the way - there are 22 registered participants for the VIPP TOT in Cusco from 8 to 12 of January.
Best regards, Timmi Tillmann
